Appearance Quality
The appearance quality of hotel furniture primarily requires a flat tabletop, fine workmanship, delicate decoration, and clear, beautiful grain. Guest room furniture typically uses particleboard, medium-density fiberboard, plywood, or laminate as the base material, and veneer materials such as thin wood, wood veneer, or plywood as the surface material. Different base materials and surface materials have different properties; neglecting these properties and proper usage often leads to warping. The structural characteristics of the surface material on the back and front of the board must be the same or similar. The moisture content of the base material is generally required to be 6-10%, and materials should ideally be from the same batch. During workshop processing, minimize the loading and pressing time. Different material properties and surface material moisture contents require different glue thicknesses, pressing times, and pressures.

Structural Strength
Guest room furniture is mostly fixed furniture, generally with a panel structure, using wood screws, hardware connectors, and adhesives for joining. When using materials, pay attention to their different properties. For example, particleboard and medium-density fiberboard have poor nail-holding power and should be avoided in areas requiring frequent movement or strong nail-holding power, such as door hinge screws and drawer slide screws, as they are prone to loosening and making noise. Special attention should be paid to headboards, mirror frames, and wall hardware, or wood should be used for reinforcement. Currently, 45-degree inverted wood frame structures are popular.

Material Costs: Use the lowest-cost materials possible while still meeting usage requirements. While using large pieces of material, also consider using smaller pieces of the same type to improve overall board utilization. Guest room furniture is generally produced in large quantities; use computer-aided design for efficient material layout, combining large and small pieces to reduce material costs. Compare material costs for different structures.

High-Efficiency Production: Given the same material cost, consider which materials are easiest to process and which processes can save on processing costs and improve efficiency, especially in milling, routing, and engraving processes. Which materials are easy to cut and produce a smooth finish?
