Seat height refers to the vertical distance from the seat surface to the ground. Because chair surfaces often tilt backward, the seat height of a rosewood chair is usually determined by the height of the front seat surface. If the seat surface is tilted backward or has a concave curve, the seat height refers to the vertical distance from the center point of the front edge of the seat to the ground.
Proper seat height: The thighs should be horizontal, the lower legs vertical, and both feet flat on the ground. If the seat height is too high, the legs will dangle, compressing blood vessels in the thighs; if it is too low, it will cause fatigue. Practice has shown that a suitable seat height is the height from the back of the calf to the sole of the foot plus 25mm-35mm of heel thickness, minus 10mm-20mm of allowance for movement.
